Beautiful page today. The image of Nightcrawler in the background has a Mike Zeck vibe to it.

I love the “wishing to the cornfield” line by Kitty, and Peter’s response!

The texture conveyed on the Thing in that splash is incredible.

I don't know which story thread I love more.
And the art...aren't you suppose to be "past your prime" or something like that?
So good!

Another review……by somebody who doesn’t know the history of this project, but who doesn’t let that interfere with his spreading disinformation.

"...most notably his tendency to try to “fix” things that aren’t broken"
----
No, they were definitely broken.
* Magneto as a holocaust survivor...would be 90 years old, dreamy, anti-hero. Oh...he's so B.A.D! I (heart) magnetism!
* Kitty as a sullen, savvy, computer prodigy/ninja: Hollywood called, and they want their worn-out cliche back.
Give me a break! They were junk ideas when they first surfaced. Forty years later, they are just OLD junk ideas.

Some oddities in that review, but I agree 100% with the final line "I hope Byrne will continue to make Elsewhen stories for as long as he’s able to, because this is a take on the X-Men that is worth exploring further."
I suspect everyone here would agree with that.
Looking forward to the next page to hopefully find out what this version of Phoenix really is. I honestly am stumped. Will probably be painfully obvious when told.
