Michael Golden covers attracted me to many comics he did not draw the interiors for, such as She-Hulk, Defenders, and Rom. Ironically, perhaps his best interior comic, Avengers Annual #10, did not have a Golden cover!

This one continues to stay at the very top for me, in that it solidified Doom as my favorite. How it conveyed his defiance just spoke to me.

I very much enjoy the Professional "Cover Artists" of the last few decades, such as Jeff Johnson, Adam Hughes, Jae Lee & Brian Bolland.  In earlier Decades Neal Adams & Gil Kane were titans.  A good inker on Kane, as in a few of those early Iron Man covers, The one above & the one (#46) with the Guardsman were great!  I don't think Michael Golden or George Perez, ever turned in a bad cover.    I'd like to throw in Rich Buckler's DC covers (pre 1980's), especially on Justice League, where he really seemed to lend a Marvel vibe, to DC covers.

Ed Hannigan--So many covers I loved turned out to be either illustrated or laid out by him.

Dave Cockrum--A lot of his random covers (GHOST RIDER, MS. MARVEL, DAREDEVIL) are some of those series' very best.

Neal Adams--Of course his are amazing, but special shoutouts to his 60's SUPERBOY covers and his "return to DC" covers in the mid-70's (FLASH, SUPERMAN).

Jack Kirby--Really love his "return to Marvel" mid-70's covers, especially on characters he was unconnected to (GHOST RIDER, TIGRA, DEATHLOK, Vision-centric AVENGERS, Falcon-centric CAPTAIN AMERICA).

Will Eisner--His newly painted covers (usually wraparound) for the late 70's/early 80's SPIRIT magazine are truly beautiful.

Honorable mention to Gil Kane, Alex Ross, Brian Bolland, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, Paul Gulacy, Mike Kaluta, Earl Norem, Jim Starlin, and Steranko!

Ha! Agree, Tim.
One of my favorite JB covers is this one. When I first saw it, it blew me away! Funny that it happens to be a book not really associated with Byrne

I love how that cover is violent but at the same time not violent. Though it kinda irked me that it was a regular-sized #200 issue!

Zeck's a terrific cover artist, I bought the Deathstroke book in the 90's purely for his covers!

Strange color scheme on that DD cover. So bright and cheery!

And note how the colorist “fixed” it by adding a horizon!
