Always loved this poster for Legends series...

At the time, I couldn't believe DC had acquired the services of JB... which led to some interesting runs.

I really want to see JB's Blood of the Demon reprinted in some form.

*****

There is some good news on this front.  While there has not yet been any specific mention of a Byrne collection, the Demon is the latest character to get a DC Finest volume.  DC Finest volumes are similar to Marvel's Epic Collection line, reprinting in chronological order a character//group's titles over the years.  The first volume, DC Finest: The Demon: Birth of the Demon comes out in February 2026 and is 536 pages.  It will include the original Jack Kirby series and some Demon guest appearances in other titles. Since there haven't really been that many Demon series over the years, another four or five volumes would probably be all that would be needed to finish the Demon.  (DC Finest volumes stop at 2011,when the history was reset with the New 52).  Volumes can be published in any order so the Byrne run could appear as early as whenever the next Demon volume comes out.

I would be surprised to see my Demon reprinted, since I contradicted the Brit writers who had contradicted Kirby.

It’s nice DC is actually doing LEGENDS now since they pulled the ol’
switcheroo with the DC UNIVERSE BY JOHN BYRNE volume.

They've also announced an Absolute Edition of JB's MAN OF STEEL. Hurrah!

Count me in as another HUGE OMAC fan!
JB and time travel - a match made in heaven.
I'd buy the hell out of a hardcover.

Absolute Man of Steel now?
WOW. DC really showing the love for JB, lately!
Man, I can't wait to grab this one.
Thanks Petter!

I signed on with a specific storyline set in place, but it wasn’t too many issues before editorial lost focus and there was much floundering, which made the whole thing a real chore. By the last few issues all trace of fun was gone.”

JB - Do you mind sharing what parts of the original storyline got lost over time?

And although you may call yourself merely the art robot for that project, I loved your work in that mini series.
