To be clear, I'm nowhere near "there", it's just that with
Drumpf, and more importantly his liberal/progressive-hating
cultists, becoming more and more emboldened literally (and
given recent events, I do actually mean "literally") every
day, your mind wanders down heretofore untraveled paths.

It’s astonishing and enraging that Republicans are hailing this as
complete justification for Good’s extrajudicial execution.

The idea that the video would somehow justify this monstrous act and not make it worse is reminiscent of when Kristi Noem wrote the detailed description in her book of how she killed her puppy thinking it would make her more likeable.

Just read this...
"When asked if the ICE officer who shot Renee Good in Minneapolis would be immune from prosecution, Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty made something very clear:
“I can say the ICE officer does not have complete immunity here.”
That contradicts claims that federal agents cannot be held accountable under state law and underscores that legal accountability is possible, even for a federal agent, if evidence shows they acted outside lawful authority.
The administration doesn't want Minneapolis law involved - so Trump can pardon him. If Minneapolis police investigate, it becomes a state issue and Trump can't pardon him.

Meanwhile, social media is a nightmare, and my usual stroll by Reason Magazine Online to see what the leading Libertarian reaction is has left me feeling glum (spoiler alert: as usual, they're strangely okay with Federal Agents shooting people but downright livid about the ongoing welfare fraud story in Minnesota).
There's still a deep down hope in me that MAGA and aligned hordes will find a bridge too far, a hypocrisy too outrageous to process, an outright lie that they acknowledge cannot be explained away. It never happens, and my idiot hope is awash in despair and something resembling shame.

street execution. It is profoundly unAmerican to maintain a literal secret
police force. Public employees should be publicly identifiable.

I hate guns, but I’ve been giving it serious thought. I live in a state whose laws are so lax, having enough money to buy a gun is pretty much the only barrier to doing so. Unprecedented times.

It was one of the very first things dirtbag Jesse Watters mentioned on Faux News along with the fact that she used pronouns in her LInkedIn profile, as if either of those things has any bearing on her murder. Typical playbook; smear and demean first, justify later.
