That panel reminds me of a fairly major ARRGH moment in that issue. I'd marked the mutant prisoners with big Ms on their jumpsuits, and Humans with an H, but Chris chose to add an additional designation, not shown in the art. Readers were left to assume I'd forgotten to draw it. (And, yes, that panel is a CLASSIC example of Chris stretching time. In context that panel takes a couple of seconds, max. Read all that dialog aloud and clock it. Those characters are standing around doing nothing for quite a long time.)* _________________________ * Some of the blame for this can be laid at Shooter's feet, of course. He was pushing in those days for every scrap of information to be presented UP FRONT. Acres of exposition was Chris' response.
