Now that was a satisfying episode of action and developments... And a proper encounter with Magneto. And now the plot thickens with Jean's thumbing a ride to trouble.

What a great action packed issue!

Perfect timing this month, with the issue ending on a Friday.

So far it's the best super hero comic book experience I had in years...

And that's just sad, isn't it?

Looks like we are finally getting to that pic of Jean judging by the last panel (yay!)

Man, in her current mental capacity (but an adult body) the potential for harm is huge.  I hope those truckers don't do anything rotten to Jean :-(
(Translation: please be nice to her John!)

Somebody cue Del Shannon or Bon Jovi.

I love how Jean's story and the aftermath of the Shi'ar surgery is being teased out. We all have an understanding of where things are headed with Jean, but I am on the edge of my seat to see how JB turns our collective expectation on its head. Kudos for another engaging and extremely fun issue, JB.

True, true -there really is a huge sense of anticipation.

And also a huge sense of anticipation for what's happening to Kurt and the others who could also be in a world of hurt.  (No ryhmes intended).

JB, So far this feels it falls in line with Code-approved books from your time at Marvel. Anything you feel so far would not pass code?

First panel in penultimate page, with Colossus catching Storm reminded me of Colossus catching Kitty in UXM #141.
Last page, just for a moment, before seeing last panel, I thought Jean could have already been captured by the Sentinels off-panel! Could this last panel be a prelude to something very bad happening to our Jean with very bad consequences?

Any future explanation why the Sentinels didn't go for Madrox when they got the rest of the islander X-Men?

Blob, Unus, Vanisher,... taken by the Sentinels. Also Brotherhood's Lorelei? Perhaps also a comatose Mastermind after the Dark Phoenix Saga?
I didn't count with the Blob thinking he was in New Mexico, so this is another small difference with the non-Elsewhen reality!

One small question: Should last 2 pages be "published" as a double-page spread? This way we won't have to turn the page to complete Moira's dialogue in last panel of the penultimate page.

Small typo in last page: Annandale-on Hudson.

It's sad Marvel and DC (among others) don't try enough to reach these standards of art and storytelling.
They don't seem to love or respect their characters as much as you do.

But what's great is "Elsewhen" exists. It's out there. People can read it and enjoy it as much as we do.

Thank you.

Wolverine and Cyclops' pummelling of Magneto had me wondering about the physical properties of Magneto's costume.  The costume has been depicted as a sort of metal mesh that he can reconstruct with his power, therefore it must be incredibly heavy.  This had me thinking that, despite being in peak physical condition for a person of his age, Magneto must use his power for movement to some extent. In that same line of thinking, it must also become somewhat of a burden when he is injured or after he has pushed his powers to their limits in a battle like JB just depicted.

Edited for gramma.
