Just did a little research... you’re right, James... the Sentinels in the New Mutants were a completely different model/design. I not sure it’s fair to say they were colored wrong.

I wonder if Hank ever feels like he should be an X-Man again.

I know the furry version of the Beast is sometimes thought of as "hokey", but JB sure does draw Hank in that form to perfection. Page 6 is fan-furry-tastic.

I wonder if Hank ever feels like he should be an X-Man again.•• That was something I had planned for HIDDEN YEARS, once I "caught up" to the point of his transformation--rubber mask and all!

This Beast looks more aligned with the 70's look that I'm used to, versus the Al Franken-with fur look from the previous pages. George's Beast is great in its own way, but IMO nobody draws the furry Beast better than you.

Agreed! I'd rather see furless Hank in his original uniform, but if he has to be a Beast in appearance as well as name, JB is the best man to depict that!

My Beast has been sliding around on this trip. In times gone by I have tended to the Perez version, but in recent years I've thought more of drawing Hank's old, pre-furry face.On these pages, a bit of both.

I should mention:This issue paced out to 19 pages, so with pages two and three as a single post, we'll be coming up a bit short at the end of this month. Not quite so long a drought as last month, tho!

As far as furry Beast goes, no redesign has been better than the ‘70’s version.Which I guess goes for many a costume design as well. Without wanting to derail the thread, I cannot fathom how so many artists look @ their redesigns & think ‘nailed it’ when compared to the original costumes

I love the expression on the Beast's face on the latest page!
Edited because my phone's autocorrect sucks.
