My go to artist for modern interpretations of the "Golden Age" is Michael Cho.
I think he would nail the inking on this Batman.

Mark good choice! Cho reminds me of Cooke a lot, but with his own distinctive style.

Inking the Batman, Vintage...I'm going with German Garcia or maybe Otto Schmidt.
Both I think might provide an interesting take and their styles (Schmidt on Green Arrow and Garcia on Kazar) lend themselves to a more retro flavour.

I had never heard of a possible JSA/Invaders book by JB. Talk about a dream project.
(Batman/Captain America is one of my favorite books ever. I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a page from it at JB's last Mid-Ohio Con. Man, how long ago was that? Getting old!)

That is some ability to be able to 'see' a page in your mind before putting it down on paper. I imagine that could be similar to how a movie director's mind is wired. Luckily you were blessed with the ability to draw pretty damn well - I can only imagine how this vision would frustrate a wanabe illustrator who couldn't draw.

It would have been fun to see Ramona Fradon ink Sub-Mariner.

If only Joe Kubert could have inked Hawkman!
======================================
That would have been great. Maybe Adam or Andy Kubert?

I had been in talks with Joe via his secretary to possibly ink the Hawkman at the time of his death. Unfortunately, it was not to be. I had thought about Lee Weeks for some time. Had not had a direct line with him or a commission ever done by him. I went to Pittsburgh Comic con, where he was attending, Had him do a JSA Wildcat full figure and inked by Lee. I didn't have the jam with me at that show, but had a small copy of the image with me. I showed it to Lee and asked him if he would be interested in inking John's Batman figure. My one ask was that he not erase John's pencils underneath. Lee agreed, I saw him a few months later at a small New Jersey comic store mini con. I gave the piece to Lee, he inked it that night in his hotel room and he was still making minor touch ups right before he handed it back to me.

Excellent tale. Weeks is a guy a really like but not one I’ve gone out of my way to look for. And I need to rectify that.

I would be curious to see Jim Starlin do Hawkman and Ron Wilson on The Human Torch.
