Weapon X never made sense to me, as pretty as the art was. The liquid injection of adamantium was so weird. I could have accepted something like electroplating each bone, but it never seemed to show anything other than squirty tubes. And how the hell did they never x-ray him and see the bone claws? The Elsewhen version makes so much more sense.
Not to disparage other writers, but I appreciate that JB thinks through all of these things and goes beyond "wouldn't it be cool if...?" which is where a lot of these ideas leave off.
Fortunately, in ELSEWHEN you're seeing a basic outline of something that dates back to the late Seventies, when I first set to cogitating on Wolverine's "origin". So, long before Shooter-imposed nonsense, and the lunacy that grew from it.
JB, is it possible that a "normal" bone break would have healed faster, but that the extreme nature of bones being pulverized into tiny pieces prevented it?

Roger Stern used to comment on one particular writer, who was very good, but who did not seem willing to do anything really BAD to the characters. And, of course, without that the stories were a bit on the dull side.
Mysterious unknown man in a wheelchair saying things like "Careful you fool!" makes me think this is not a good man. ;) This is clearly comic book villain-speak.
I’ve already said the wheelchair guy is an existing character, and he’s here for a reason. But if I identify him, a combination of continuity and time will unleash a chorus of But But Buts from some corners, so…
