All items arrive fresh (hence the name!), not frozen, and packed in (dry?) ice. I imagine that to better facilitate this they source from metropolitan areas.

Not dry ice, but some kind of microplastic-containing gel. You're supposed to cut the bag open, pour the frozen gel in the trash, then rinse the plastic bag and recycle it through the collection points at grocery stores. The hassle of the packaging and having to cook the meals was the big reason we canceled it. We did keep all the recipe cards; though, and occasionally prepare meals or elements of meals from them. I never realized the lime was so versatile before HelloFresh. UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand all use straight water in their ice packs, so hopefully that will come to the US at some point.

Ah, right. Clearly I wasn't a subscriber for too long, because I kept those gelpacks in the freezer and use them in coolers from time to time. I only have a few of them. I forgot where they came from!

We've done Hello Fresh for a few years. My wife really enjoys and it's a nice thing we can do together.
Occasionally, they leave out something but it's gotten a lot better the last year or so.
Some of the recipes have been really good. My only real beef is we get locked into 'Hello Fresh is coming this weekend' mode and so we have to turn down any invites that weekend.
(our schedules make it nearly impossible to cook on a weeknight.)
Oh, also the meals seem to use a lot of pots and pans so every meal is followed by dishwashing..

"A fun cooking experience that makes you feel unstoppable!"
The super-villain's key to victory is to sign up for HelloFresh.

Did this for a while, but got tired of chopping! Everything seemed to have a zesty salsa with it. Tasted good, but a bit fiddly.

I attempted a few food services, over the years, but found that the cost, didn't make it worthwhile, since they also involved prepping and cooking ingrediants. I had largely thrown up my hands, until I found out about a local company that preps and delivers meals. They have multiple options (low calorie, keot, bulk) and offer either lunch and dinner or either of those individually. I chose the keto dinner plan and found that, not only is it reasonably priced, but the meals simply have to be heated up and they are ready. Great tasting, without the hassle. I end up enjoying the meals and variety, leaving me less likely to "cheat" regularly.

Has anyone here tried the Momofuko noodles? They look very tempting.

Canceled today. Too time consuming, and a sudden flurry of distractions to throw me off schedule.

I had much the same experience as JB; time consuming and too many dirty dishes and utensils. I thought it was supposed to simplify meal time, not make it more complicated.
