11" x 17" illustration which reimagines the cover to Power Man/Iron Fist # 50, the details are:

- please include Iron Fist, Power Man, Misty Knight, and Colleen Wing
- please have Iron Fist as the most prominent character
- all art- background and layout are up to you

(That's Dave Cockrum apparently working from a rejected Rich Buckler cover. Don't really know the details of that.)

My thread title refers to the fact that after this book was launched sales figures came in showing IRON FIST had gone up enough to survive cancelation, and the joke around the office was that at least he should have gotten top billing on the new book.

Almost forty views and no comments? Not much love for Luke and Danny, huh?

Yeah, what gives?!

I think this is amazing! This was one of my favorite books back in the day. The Heroes for Hire will always hold a special place in my heart.

Well done...as always...

You've proven that Power Man's costume does still work! Funny that this is being discussed in another thread right now.

An improvement upon the original cover, I'd say!

The name Power Man has all but disappeared, hasn't it? He's become Luke Cage only - just as Marvel Girl has become Jean Grey only.

Very dynamic and energetic! Must be pretty cool to be asked to reimagine a Cockrum cover, huh?

I like the reimagining as taking place in a real-world setting rather than empty space, and the inclusion of the montage elements overlapping the background. Also, Colleen Wing!

I love to see Iron Fist from the pen of JB!
Not unlike Alpha Flight, he's only 'real' when JB presents him.

Love the effect on Danny's fist under the flare.

Nice job with a difficult pose on IRON FIST. The foreshortening is spot on. Background elements are also very well planned out and executed.

Not that familiar with Iron Fist, but most images I've seen tend to show him one "iron fist" for some reason. A design choice?

Very nice commission. Is this a "Green" commission? I wonder. Thanks for the story, JB.
