Just noticing that the “beauty mark” on Jean as the Black Queen is a ♠️
and not just a dot. Man, great printing really does make a difference.

Take care of yourself, JB, that's what matters first and what matters most.
Your eyes and your health.
We love your work, but we can wait.
Meanwhile we already have a consequent number of great issues we can reread.
When you'll be fine and ready we will be happy to have the next ones, but take as much time as is necessary.
I'm speaking for myself of course, but i can guess that many think as i do, actually i believe it is true of most of us.

Oh man, I wish I could see that Superman image up close. I'd love to see some pre-Kesel pencils.

I see the piece is listed in that article as “currently not on view”. A quick search for other items that were on display at the same time reveals that Fonzie’s jacket, from HAPPY DAYS, holds the same status, as does Christopher Reeves’ Superman costume.

Ah, fame.

Sweet, thanks! I never liked that panel in particular in print, because Superman had a bit of a constipated expression on his face. Glad to see it not there in the pencils!

A visit to the American History museum might disappoint some. While the Smithsonian has (quite literally) warehouses full of memorabilia, the building is not all that large and the amount of stuff on display is far less than you might think. Add in some of the permanent displays and visitors often come away thinking "I thought they had X..."

They do.

In a warehouse in Maryland.

But they also put quite a bit of their stuff online, so at least there's that.

Hope you are doing well, Mr, Byrne,
Have you had the surgery yet?

First procedure is next Wednesday, taking care of the left eye. Right eye two weeks after that.

I should mention that since I decided to go ahead with this, the degeneration in my eyes seems to have accelerated. Getting hard to read what's on my various screens, for instance.*

So for any curious combination of letters that turn up here, apologies in advance!

.................

*One curious point, my doctor informed me yesterday that colors will almost certainly get brighter with my new plastic lenses.
