I vaguely recall, JB, you saying in The Art of John Byrne you intended to gradually reduce the size of Cyclops's visor and buccaneer boots. I noticed during your original run the boot cuffs (for lack of a better term) had noticeably shrunk. It's neat you finally get the opportunity to tackle his visor.

JB, The pencil work has transcended the need for inking. You're pretty good at this!

I kind of like that Wolverine is sort of a hot-head jerk that jumps to conclusions and gets the crap kicked out of him every issue.

"Father And Son"... hmm, all I know is Marv Wolfman and Keith Pollard didn't create Augie Doggy and Doggy Daddy.
I wonder if someone could ever trick Cyclops into being a weapon for them by having a hologram in front of something they would want him to blast?

Question for JB,
On page 2, I noticed there's a white area around Scott's visor (in two panels) -- are those eraser marks? Just curious. Thanks.

I’d forgotten just damned good your Colossus is. Little things like the high neck on his pullover which is very Russian in flavour, and I love the technique that gives face such fluidity while still looking like steel. This is just a great ride, chief.

Not exactly the same situation because it's a robot Cyclops but done in Uncanny X-Men #177.

I read the first few panels of today's page and though, huh, I must have been wrong from what I thought was a clue in the previous page... and then the final panel made me go back and rethink what I was seeing in the earlier panels.

Little things like the high neck on his pullover which is very Russian in flavour…•• Straight from Dave! (As I've noted before, the one thing I changed from Dave's version was the belt buckle--and I wasn't even aware I'd done that until years later!)

What in the world kind of "answer" was Wolverine thinking the fastball-special would be...?!

Ms. Jansen - Cyclops probably could be tricked, especially in the middle of a raging battle. But he also knows that eye beams are deadly, so I'd suspect that even when fighting, he's very conscious of his target. If he weren't 100% sure that his target was what he believed it to be, he might try a shot at the ground to knock 'em off their pins instead of a direct shot at them.
But your point is well made; he could likely be confounded.
